Frequent Questions

What is the best fit for your products?

Our complete product line is targeted to solve the problem of image acquisition at the smallest footprint possible. As such requirement are very common on medical and veterinary endoscope applications, such markets are optimal fits for our products. Other applications can take advantage of the small space, high integration and low power consumption. Eye tracking and capsule endoscopy natural application areas for our products as well.

What type of technologies you apply on your products?

We bring as much technology and integration around the camera module as possible, so our chip on tip cameras can be added to endoscope tips with clear performance advantages versus more traditional approaches.

Modern camera designs with improved optical and image quality reduce assembly complexity on modern endoscopes and time to market as customers can be released from handling and assembly optical components that bring light from inside the body out, to electronic systems.

For this to be possible, we must rely on multiple state of the art technologies such as:

  • Wafer level optics with nanometer precise surfaces

  • Custom CMOS sensor design and manufacture

  • Through silicon vias, micro BGA

  • Micro cables

How easy is it to integrate your component with our existing equipment?

Integrating our camera on tip with your existing imaging equipment is relatively easy. Besides the small size, our camera module has a reduced cable size with only 4 lines and a 1-lane LVDS data interface to the image sensor, which is compatible with long cables and widely used standard in the industry. With such interface is easy to connect our camera modules to existing medical equipment after just minimal modifications. Our modules integrate the latest generation CMOS chip with state-of-the-art optics designed in Germany. With the minimal footprint possible and lens system directly attached, it is easy to incorporate into existing equipment without taking up too much space.

We also provide detailed documentation, reference designs and support to ensure a smooth integration process. Our team of experts is available to assist with any technical issues or questions that may arise during the integration process.

With our endoscopic component, you can enhance the capabilities of your existing equipment without significant disruptions or costly modifications.

Can you provide us with any information on the performance of your component, such as its resolution, image quality, and durability?

Our optical components have been designed to deliver outstanding performance and reliability, and we're proud to say that they are among the best in the industry.

Here's some information on the key performance parameters of our component:

  • Resolution: Our camera is designed with a pixel array size of 320x320 and a pixel size/pitch of 2.4um x 2.4um. This provides excellent resolution and allows for the capture of detailed images.

  • Image quality: With integrated optics, tuned at wafer level with nanometer precision manufacture tools and a CMOS high sensitivity 10 bit dynamic range image sensor, the acquired images show a great level of detail even in low light conditions.

  • Our system combines advanced hardware design and proprietary computer vision algorithms.

  • Our algorithms have been specifically designed to handle massive amounts of data quickly and accurately, which is crucial in the imaging industry.

  • Durability: Our optical components are designed to be durable and reliable, even in harsh environments.

  • We use high-quality materials and manufacturing processes to ensure that our components can withstand the rigors of daily use. All our modules are 100% tested inhouse to the highest performance standard.

What is the expected lead time for delivery of the component, and do you offer any expedited shipping options?

After placement of the order it usually takes 4 weeks to process the order of up to 100pcs, a larger volumes takes 6 to 8 weeks depending on material availability.

You have an option to purchase:

1) Endoscopic camera component

2) Endoscopic camera component with video processing unit

What type of endoscopes use your cameras?

Differentiated single use endoscopes in fields such as:

  • Bronchoscopy

  • Urology

  • arthroscopy

  • Cystoscopy

  • Choledochoscopy

  • Capsule endoscopy

  • Veterinary

Can you tell me about the main features of your endoscopic cameras? What makes it unique compared to other similar products in the market?

Our endoscopic camera has several unique features that set it apart from other similar products on the market.

Firstly, the small size of only 1.0mm x 1.0mm, which makes it ideal for use in small diameter endoscopes. High resolution pixel matrix and matched lens to pixel size create an optimal camera module where the lens resolves exactly the pixel dimension without any mismatch.

Secondly, the digital output makes our modules compatible with of-the-shelve ARM processors or FPGAs without need of other dedicated signal processors or companion chips.

At last, the low power consumption of only 15mW is a significant advantage for long-term operation in battery powered devices.

Our camera on tip technology has been designed to deliver high quality images even in low light conditions, which is crucial for medical imaging.

As our manufacture technologies greatly benefit from the economy of scale, the technologies applied are better suited for high volume and offer the best price per piece at high quantities. Furthermore, our proprietary add-on computer vision algorithm are unique features and part of our delivery pack. These algorithms are designed to handle large amounts of data quickly and accurately, making it possible to scale up imaging post-recovery to a whole new level, and perform custom analysis of the data. This is especially beneficial for medical imaging where accurate and efficient processing of large amounts of data is critical.
