Photonics Technology Integration

OptaSensor develops vision systems and components for medical devices. With stablished expertise in the field of micro opto-electronics development, integration and manufacture, Optasensor pushes technological boundaries to realize innovative products. With pioneering experience in the NanEye product line development from Awaiba (currently ams AG), the first digital small form factor cameras for endoscopic disposable applications opened a new era for one time use endoscopy.

OptaSensor GmbH thus draw on more than a decade of knowledge on miniature fully enclosed camera systems modules, mostly for the medical market.

In operation since 2019 in Nürnberg, Germany, in a fabeless company model, we are capable of starting full designs or/and optimization of camera modules for prototypes and volume products.

Focus & Sustainability

With the combination of in house development and a careful selection of suppliers, our micro camera products benefit from high integration of functionalities.

At the core of Optasensor is an experienced team of engineers working for many years in wafer level stacked optics design, digital miniature CMOS sensor packaging and chip on tip integration. Optasensor’s products are made to reach the smallest footprint possible and open doors for minimally invasive imaging acquisition in medical applications.

Typical areas of application are ureteroscopes, bronchoscopes, arthroscopes, bronchoscopes and most areas of single use endoscopy but also intraoral scanners and eye tracking devices.
